Empowering Visionaries, Igniting Change!

Big news alert! 🎉 📢

The African Youth Ignited 4ir executive team is thrilled to announce the fresh faces on our board🌟. Yep, you read that right - our new board is locked and loaded, ready to rock and roll as from May 2024 until May 2025 🚀.

What's their mission? Well, they're 'THE ELDERS' - working collaboratively with our CEO and the executive team, steering us through strategic decisions, policy tweaks, and making sure we're on point with our accountability game. 💼

So, here's to our fantastic new board - let's sail towards greatness together! 🌊 #ardAlert #SettingSailForSuccess 🚢

Meet Simon - the academic aficionado! Armed with a Bachelor of Social Science Degree, BA Hons in Labour Relations, a Master’s Degree in Administration, and even a University Certificate Programme in Law - he's got brains for days!

Currently steering the ship as Registrar at Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT), he's no newbie to the game, having rocked a similar gig at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal (UKZN) before. As Registrar, he's the go-to guy for all things Academic Administration, Governance, and Legal Services - talk about wearing many hats!

With over three decades of higher education hustle under his belt, Simon is a true veteran in the field! Before his time at UKZN, he was the Deputy Registrar: Governance and Judicial Services at Vaal University of Technology (VUT).

Simon's blend of academic prowess and administrative savvy could be a game-changer for our NPO's advisory board. With his legal expertise, strategic planning skills, and extensive network, he'd be instrumental in guiding our organization to new heights. Apart from connecting our executive team and beneficiaries of our initiatives to his network and opportunities - his priority as our boardmember is to ensure that our governance and compliance matters are sustained.

We'll tell you more about our next member of the board next week right here.
